Kevin and I were supposed to get married on Sept 24th of this year, but in January we received a big surprise—we were expecting! My due date was Sept 27th. I didn’t want to take the chance of getting married so close to my due date, so we thought it best to postpone our wedding until the following summer. We rescheduled our wedding date for June 10, 2017; and now that it’s almost 6 months away, I’m beginning to organize venders and starting to envision my wedding day. This weekend I’m excited to announce that I’ve secured my florist and paid the deposit! The company I’m using is called “Wild Rabbit Flowers” and the owner/florist is Carli. She is based in Hope, BC and sources her flowers from local farms and North American farms, and also grows specialty blooms in her own private garden. She is a real master of her craft and I’m thrilled to be working with her. She also informed me that peonies (my favourite flower) will be in season in June, and will be used throughout the floral arrangements.
I’ve decided to seat my guests at harvest-style tables with floral center pieces, connected by green garland. I’m also very excited for the floral arch that will be placed at the end of the wedding ceremony isle! The wedding has a garden/romantic theme, and the lush floral accents will be essential. I cannot wait to see everything come together!
